The printing industry is a massive one, generating millions and millions to the overall global economy. Everyday life is influenced by the presence of printing or printed products. To a large extent, households, individuals and businesses make use of newspapers, magazines, books, cards, pads, and other documents to obtain or share information, entertainment, and the like.

There are other techniques unmentioned here of course, which goes to show just how expansive the printing industry is.
